The original description of a Ce-rich member of the mixite group (Walenta 1970), at that time named chlorotile-(Ce), was related to discoveries in the Johann mine near Wittichen and the Clara mine, Oberwolfach, both localities in the Black Forest, Germany. HT currently at the Institut für Mineralogie und Kristallchemie, Universität Stuttgart.
