Notes / Further information

In 1914 Slavik examined a crystal from the collection of Roscher, the pharmacist of Ehrenfriedersdorf, and named the new mineral lacroixite. The crystal drawing of Slavik (1914) shows the crystal, which arrived at the museum with the W. Roscher collection (Berlin) in 1926.The mineral was named in honor of Alfred Lacroix (1863-1948), Professor for mineralogy at the "Musée d'Histoire Naturelle" in Paris.
