Notes / Further information

"Sample of Abraham Gottlob Werner (Freiberg) given to Martin Heinrich Klaproth for chemical analysis." - Current research (2023) has shown that this sample was not collected until 1804 by Martin Hinrich Carl Lichtenstein and that Klaproth did not receive it from him until 1810 or 1811. Therefore, this sample cannot be the type material for Klaproth's analysis and publication of 1788, which Klaproth had received from Abraham Gottlob Werner.
